– Five fish and chip shops from around the UK, have today been announced as finalists for the ‘Field to Frier’ category, in the National Fish and Chip Awards 2023.

The National Fish and Chip Awards have been celebrating the best in the industry for over thirty years, and the Field to Frier category recognises businesses for their excellence in potato knowledge, care and chip preparation.

The top five business shortlisted are:

• Pier Point Fish & Chips, Torquay

• Seafare Guildford, Guildford

• Fish Kitchen 1854, Maesycwmmer

• Fiddlers Elbow Fish & Chips, Leintwardine

• The Real Food Cafe, Tyndrum

The Field to Frier category is sponsored by leading potato supplier, Isle of Ely Produce and the awards are hosted by The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), on the 28th of February 2023 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. 

Although the guest list is mainly industry-focused, tickets are open to the general public and discounted accommodation is available with ticket sales.
