What does being from Yorkshire mean to you?
To me Yorkshire is all about community and warmth. Running a local chippy, you see it every day. The friendly banter, neighbours looking out for each other, and the down-to-earth kindness, mixed in of course with “calling a spade a spade” straight talking. But it’s a place where hard work is respected, people say what they mean and everyone is made to feel welcome.
Other than fish and chips what’s your other favourite Yorkshire food or dish?
Yorkshire pudding naturally and also a dark fruit cake served with Wensleydale cheese.
What is the most popular dish on your menu and what day of the week is your busiest?
Cod, chips, mushy peas and traditional fish and chip Friday still rules supreme.
Is it salt or vinegar first?
Vinegar first. Other way round washes the salt off
Will you be offering any specials on your menu to celebrate Yorkshire Day?
Yes, we will be offering chips and gravy with cod bites for a reduced rate.
