What is your favourite thing about serving the Yorkshire community?
We live in Haxby, a very tight knit community which loves fish and chips, so that makes us strive to produce great food. I also think that any visitors who visit York want to try good old Yorkshire fish and chips, it’s almost an institution. But what’s really makes it for us at Millers is when customers say they were great fish and chips that makes us smile and feel good.

What does Yorkshire Day mean to you?
It means a lot to me, I’m proud of being from Yorkshire, as you know, it’s known as “God Country”. Great people, great sense of humour, maybe careful with their money, only joking! It’s a great way to celebrate such a fantastic, beautiful county.
What makes your fish and chips special to Yorkshire?
Millers are very traditional. We have a small menu that concentrates on producing excellent fish and chips, but what gives it that unique flavour of Yorkshire is we cook in the best beef dripping and the passion to produce great fish and chips time after time.
What’s the most popular order at Millers?
Haddock and chips, mushy peas and lots of scraps (batter bits).
If someone is visiting Millers for the first time, what can they expect?
A very warm Yorkshire welcome, service with a big smile and to be made to feel special, and of course fantastic fish and chips.
